Inside Out 2 Should Be A Crazy Train

Exciting news for Pixar enthusiasts! A brand new trailer for “Inside Out 2” has just been unveiled, and it appears that Joy is hard at work, ready to captivate audiences once again.

“Inside Out 2” serves as the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2015 animated masterpiece, “Inside Out.” The original film delved into the world of 11-year-old Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) and the colorful cast of emotions within her mind, portrayed by a star-studded ensemble: Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader), and Anger (Lewis Black). The sequel’s trailer introduces a new character, the anxious and frazzled Anxiety.

However, there have been some changes in the cast for “Inside Out 2.” Due to reported salary disputes, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling will not reprise their roles as Fear and Disgust. Instead, Tony Hale and Liza Lapira have stepped in to take on these pivotal characters.

The original “Inside Out” revolved around Riley’s challenging journey as she moved from Minnesota to San Francisco. Faced with the trials and tribulations of growing up, she grapples with overwhelming emotions and the risk of losing not just her friends but her family as well.

In “Inside Out,” Joy and Sadness embarked on a compelling adventure through Riley’s mind. Together, they had to learn how to cooperate and help Riley navigate her new life while reconciling her myriad emotions.

“Inside Out” received widespread critical acclaim upon its initial release, with the film even clinching the prestigious 2016 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Renowned film critic Peter Debruge of Variety praised it as a cinematic triumph, describing it as “an elegant and iconic visual metaphor for understanding our own emotions and empathizing with others.”

Fans of the franchise were thrilled when the sequel was officially announced at Disney’s D23 Expo in 2022. Kelsey Mann takes the director’s helm, and Meg LeFauve, who co-wrote the first film, returns as the writer for the highly anticipated follow-up.

Mark your calendars for June 14, 2024, as that’s when “Inside Out 2” is set to hit theaters, nearly nine years after the original. This promises to be another heartwarming and insightful journey into the intricate world of emotions, and Pixar fans can hardly wait.
